Building for Creative Production?

Explore practical AI workflows for image and video generation, Blender, Unreal Engine, MetaHuman, and other tools used in modern 3D and content production.

What We're Building

Local AI Studio documents the process of building a powerful, self-hosted AI production environment using open-source models and tools. The goal is to connect local AI with creative applications like ComfyUI, Blender, and Unreal Engine to create practical, automated production workflows.

The core system will eventually include:

  • A dedicated local AI server

  • Open-source LLMs and model runtimes

  • MCP servers and AI agents

  • ComfyUI for image and video generation

  • AI-assisted Blender workflows

  • AI-assisted Unreal Engine workflows

  • Automated creative production pipelines

Getting Started Roadmap

Follow these stages to go from a new local AI setup to a fully integrated creative production environment.

1. Plan Your Hardware

Choose the CPU, GPU, memory, storage, networking, and operating system that fit your AI workloads, creative applications, and budget.

2. Build the Core AI System

Install and configure the operating system, GPU drivers, model runtimes, and other foundational software needed to run AI locally.

3. Run Your First Local Models

Install and test open-source LLMs, understand model sizes and quantization, and learn how to choose models that fit your hardware and workloads.

4. Connect Tools with MCP & Agents

Connect your local AI models to tools and applications using MCP, then build agents that can access resources, execute tasks, and coordinate multi-step workflows.

5. Add Creative AI Tools

Add image, video, and audio generation tools such as ComfyUI and integrate them with your local AI system to build practical creative workflows.

6. Integrate Blender & Unreal Engine

Connect AI to Blender and Unreal Engine for 3D asset creation, scene management, automation, rendering, MetaHuman workflows, and other production tasks.

7. Build Automated Production Workflows

Combine local models, agents, creative AI, Blender, and Unreal Engine into repeatable pipelines for tasks such as marketing videos, asset production, rendering, and other content workflows.
