BLENDER ADDON
REUSABLE ASSETS. FLEXIBLE MODELING.
The Local AI Studio Blender addon brings asset library and curve-based modeling tools into one workspace. Organize reusable assets with visual previews, add them to your scenes, and build repeating geometry along curves.
This early testing release is available for feedback. Try the tools in your own workflow and help us identify bugs, confusing steps, and useful improvements.
ASSET LIBRARY
KEEP REUSABLE ASSETS WITHIN REACH
Save selected objects as library entries with visual previews, organize them into categories, and add them to other scenes when needed.
Update existing entries as your assets evolve, refresh their previews, and keep frequently used parts organized alongside your modeling workflow.
CURVE-BASED MODELING
BUILD REPEATING DETAILS ALONG A CURVE
Combine start, middle, and end meshes to create repeating geometry along a curve. Use it for details such as zippers, trim, lacing components, and other repeated forms.
Control which parts join together with optional welding, then rebuild the result as you refine the curve. The testing release also includes an Update After Editing option designed to rebuild after edits settle.
TESTED SETUP
BLENDER ON WINDOWS
Current testing is being carried out in Blender 5.2.3 LTS on Windows. Compatibility with other Blender versions, macOS, and Linux has not yet been verified.
If you test another configuration, include your Blender version and operating system when reporting results.
INSTALLATION
INSTALL AND OPEN THE ADDON
Download the addon ZIP file. Leave it zipped.
In Blender, open Edit → Preferences → Add-ons.
Open the menu in the upper-right corner and choose Install from Disk.
Select the downloaded ZIP file and complete the installation.
Search for Local AI Studio in the Add-ons list and enable its checkbox.
Return to the 3D Viewport. Press N to open the sidebar, then select the Local AI Studio tab.
WHAT TO TEST
TRY THE TOOLS IN YOUR WORKFLOW
For the asset library, try creating categories, saving assets, updating previews, and adding saved entries to another scene. Watch for missing previews, duplicate entries, unexpected placement, or slowdowns.
For curve-based modeling, try start, middle, and end pieces, optional welding, and changes to the curve. Check placement, joins, and whether the result updates as expected.
Test Update After Editing with both simple and denser geometry. Note any pauses, missed updates, unexpected rebuilds, or crashes, including what you were doing when they occurred.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
WHAT STILL NEEDS TESTING
Update After Editing is experimental. Recent changes are intended to reduce repeated rebuilds, but stability with dense geometry and undo/redo still needs testing.
Source mesh placement and transforms can affect curve-based results. If geometry appears offset or seams fail to weld, include screenshots of the source pieces, curve, and settings in your report.
Some controls in this release still use zipper-specific names, even though the tool can be used for other repeating forms. More general naming is planned.
TESTER FEEDBACK
TELL US HOW IT WENT
Found a bug or something confusing? Describe what you tried, what you expected, and what happened. Include any error message and whether you can repeat the issue. Suggestions and successful test results are welcome too.
